Curtains

I’ve encountered poetic fools,
Claiming to have felt the winds.
They pride themselves
For warmth of their hearts;
Although in the roaring storms
They pull the curtains upon themselves.
They talk of joys and pains alike,
Flaunting their masks of bravery.
Yet when the skies are blood red,
Casting shadows all around,
They pull the curtains upon themselves.
